The Colour Of The Day
Pale Green, Near Black and Deep Vibrant Magenta
A reduced set: The Independent, Daily Express and Daily Star were not available, so this day is measured from 2 papers rather than 5. That is too few to stand for the press as a whole, so these colours are not comparable with the rest of the archive.
Three colours drawn from the front pages of 2 national newspapers published on Saturday, 16 March 2019: pale green, near black and deep vibrant magenta. The dominant shade held 42 per cent of all chromatic ink measured across the set.
