The Colour Of The Day
Deep Blue, Deep Red and Vibrant Red
A reduced set: The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and Daily Express were not available, so this day is measured from 2 papers rather than 5. That is too few to stand for the press as a whole, so these colours are not comparable with the rest of the archive.
Three colours drawn from the front pages of 2 national newspapers published on Wednesday, 20 March 2019: deep blue, deep red and vibrant red. The dominant shade held 23 per cent of all chromatic ink measured across the set.
