The Colour Of The Day
Near Black, Pale Red and Vibrant Magenta
A reduced set: The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and Daily Express were not available, so this day is measured from 2 papers rather than 5. That is too few to stand for the press as a whole, so these colours are not comparable with the rest of the archive.
Three colours drawn from the front pages of 2 national newspapers published on Saturday, 18 May 2019: near black, pale red and vibrant magenta. The dominant shade held 24 per cent of all chromatic ink measured across the set.
